Fishdom sitting beside the Ice Fishing shelf

People arrive at this quay with the words Ice Fishing already in mind. The card they then meet is a puzzle game about fish in tanks. I would rather say that in the first paragraph than let the heading do the lying.

What the Ice Fishing shelf usually implies

A rod, a hole, a wait. None of those objects are in the Fishdom feature list I read on 14 October 2026. The subtitle is match-3 and a fish puzzle. The genre line on the storefront is Puzzle. The lookup also files it under Games, Entertainment and Casual.

The one ice line on the Ice Fishing history

Further down the version history, not in the 10.1.6 notes, Playrix described a Silent Enemy expedition: explore a ship drifting in the ice and save a research team. That is an expedition blurb on an older build (the page grouped it with aquarium “Magic Castle” and the fish Cobalt Discus and Sailfin Molly). It is not a mode selector for ice fishing, and I am not going to pretend the current Halloween and Venice notes are that expedition.

Neighbours on the same Ice Fishing storefront page

The “More by Playrix” strip on the card names Township, Homescapes, Gardenscapes, Manor Matters, Wildscapes, Fishdom Solitaire, Mystery Matters, Farmscapes, Aqua Match and Austin's Odyssey. I have not opened those listings for this note. They are labels on Fishdom’s page, useful only as a sign that this developer ships several puzzle and home-decoration titles, not a set of ice-fishing games.

Who the Ice Fishing heading still serves

Someone who wanted a hole in a frozen lake will not get that from this card, and the quay should not dress the listing up as if they will. Someone who wanted a match-3 aquarium, offline play, and a store page with a 4.6 score from 1,150,649 ratings will find those lines here, with the age text left in both versions the store printed on the same day.

Privacy on the card, as Playrix indicated and Apple did not verify: data used to track you may include purchases, location, identifiers, usage data and other data. That is a reason to read Playrix’s policy before an account or a purchase, not a detail I can soften.
